The Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) has officially opened its Reporting Tool for the year 2024, signaling the commencement of the annual reporting process for its members. In this announcement, APCO expresses gratitude for the patience of its members and outlines essential details on accessing the tool, resources available, and the requirements for completing the APCO Annual Report by the deadline of March 31, 2024.
Accessing the Reporting Tool:
Members are directed to use the APCO Reporting Tool, embedded within the APCO Member Centre. The tool is crucial for submitting both the APCO Annual Report and the APCO Action Plan. First-time reporting members will receive initial access through allocated Primary and Executive Contacts, who can subsequently grant access to other contacts via the ‘Edit Profile & Account’ tab in their Member Centre login.
SME Reporting Framework:
SME members with an annual turnover less than $50 million AUD have the option to complete the SME Report, an abbreviated version of reporting, or opt-in to report against a version of the full Packaging Sustainability Framework. The SME Report involves fewer questions, primarily in yes or no format, and typically takes less than an hour to complete. Members will choose the version of the APCO Annual Report they wish to submit.
Changes in the 2024 APCO Annual Report:
The announcement highlights key changes in the 2024 APCO Annual Report, including the request for ANZSIC code, removal of response options related to REDcycle, request for ABN for subsidiaries, addition of a check-box to acknowledge the potential for audit, and the inclusion of a feedback field on the reporting process.
Submission Process and Executive Contacts:
Emphasizing the importance of an Executive Contact, APCO specifies that only an Executive Contact, such as a CEO, Director, or other executive-level representative, listed in the organization’s details, is authorized to submit the report using their login.
APCO Annual Report Review Feedback:
Members interested in receiving an APCO Annual Report review can contact the team at memberservices@apco.org.au. Priority is given to reports submitted by the due date, and while every effort will be made to provide reviews, they cannot be guaranteed for late submissions.
