The Queensland Department of Employment, Small Business and Training have announced some new one-off grants for small businesses.
The Business Basics Grant will offer grant funding of up to $5,000 each to support new and emerging businesses, of less than 20 employees, to increase core capabilities and adopt current best practice. Businesses can use the grant for website development and upgrades, strategic marketing, training and coaching, advisory services and planning for business continuity and succession.
The National Retail Association’s (NRA) Training division can assist you with your application for this grant, opening 31 May 2021, to ensure you have the financial resources to provide valuable training for your staff.
The program is a great opportunity for small businesses (including non-employing and micro businesses, and new and emerging businesses) to access funds and improve their basic capabilities. We highly encourage eligible businesses to apply and take advantage of this grant before it closes on 30 June 2021 (or until funds are exhausted).
This support includes funded activities in 5 priorities:
- Training and coaching
- Website build or upgrades
- Professional business advice
- Strategic marketing services
- Business continuity and succession.
