The 2017 National Retail Awards is only one month away!
With just one month until the winners are revealed, preparations for the gala event-of-the-year, the 2017 National Retail Awards, have been ramping up.
As the industry’s most prestigious award ceremony, the stunning gala dinner will be reminiscent of the Oscars. In front of over 400 guests in the spectacular Doltone House on Darling Island Wharf, we will acknowledge Australia’s most accomplished retailers.
REST and Scentre Group Young Retailer of the Year Award
The REST and Scentre Group Young Retailer of the Year Award is nationally recognised as the highest accolade in retail. The award acknowledges excellence in ambition, leadership and innovation within the retail discipline, for those 25 years of age and under.
Just last week, our esteemed judges, Associate Professor Gary Mortimer (QUT Business School), Craig Hobart (REST Super) and Tim Roberts (Scentre Group) concluded the second round of judging the Young Retailer of the Year Finalists in a series of Skype interviews.
During these interviews, Finalists were asked to provide examples of innovation, map out their growth goals and describe how they understand people’s constraints and work as a team within their company.
Our judges were extremely impressed with the calibre of talent demonstrated by our ambitious Finalists. Narrowing such a strong group of candidates down to a winner and runner up will certainly be a difficult task.
AMEX People’s Choice Award
This year, voting for your favourite retailer has been opened to the public! Everyone now has the chance to vote in the AMEX People’s Choice competition. Every company that entered the National Retail Awards has the chance to win $5000 cash thanks to AMEX. The company with the most amount of votes on the night of the gala will win!
