Upcoming changes to casual employment: A fireside chat between Tanda and the National Retail Association

In this session, Amy Lynes from the National Retail Association and Elsa Bland Tanda, will unpack the latest changes to casual employment set to take effect on August 26. Announced as part of the Closing Loopholes amendments to the Fair Work Act, we’ll be covering updates that all industries should be aware of, including:

  • A new definition of casual employment;
  • Changes to casual conversion processes; and
  • Updates to when the Casual Employment Information Statement must be sent.

The session will consist of a 30-minute fireside chat, followed by the opportunity to engage in a Q&A session with Elsa and Amy for approximately 15 minutes.
