In response to the pandemic and the volume of questions from the public, the Australian Government has rolled out an official app for immediate download.
The Coronavirus app is available on the App Store and Google Play for free. In a time where there are opinions about the virus everywhere, the app functions as an official source where updates are posted regularly. Features of the app include:
- The status of the virus
- A list of symptoms
- Contact information for relevant sources e.g. Healthline
- Push notifications on urgent developments
On top of this, there is also a Whatsapp chatbot that will answer questions about the coronavirus with the information it has available, much like the app. After feedback on the difficulty of finding that WhatsApp function, the Government sent out a tweet with instructions.
Are you on WhatsApp?
