The National Retail Association expresses our support and gratitude today, on National Police Remembrance Day.
Each year on September 29, communities across Australia, and the Pacific, pause to reflect, and remember Police officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice, and the officers who continue to selflessly protect our community.
National Retail Association, Director of Policy, David Stout said today was an opportunity to pause and reflect on the enormous sacrifice made by Police, and particularly in their dedication to protect industry and retail staff, and customers.
“The National Retail Association have been privileged to work closely with local Police divisions across Australia, on issues ranging from retail crime, prohibition, loss prevention and at-risk youth.
Our ongoing relationship and commitment to address these issues, and work together, is testament to the collaboration between industry, business and the Police,” “The retail community is incredibly grateful to the Police, and we thank the Police jurisdictions for working collaboratively with the National Retail Association.” Mr Stout said.
“On behalf of the National Retail Association and its members, we commemorate the Police who have sacrificed their safety and wellbeing to ensure our community is protected. Our sincere condolences to the Police officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, and to their families, loved ones and colleagues.” Mr Stout said.
The National Retail Association represents more than 60,000 stores across Australia. It has been serving businesses in the retail and fast-food sectors for close to 100 years.
