The NSW Department of Industry is currently reviewing the NSW Skills List.
The Skills List identifies the qualifications eligible for a government subsidy under Smart and Skilled and includes a wide range of qualifications to support the diverse skills needs of NSW employers.
The Skills List covers:
- Certificate ll to Advanced Diploma qualifications
- Selected Foundation Skills courses
- All apprenticeships and selected traineeships
- Part qualifications for key groups and sectors
It is reviewed annually to ensure it meets the changing skill needs of industry. The Skills List is also updated regularly during the year to reflect changes to qualifications and vocational training orders for apprenticeships and traineeships.
Unlike previous years, the Department is seeking feedback from stakeholders only on those qualifications which should be ADDED or REMOVED from the list.
If there are any qualifications that you would like added or removed from the NSW Skills list, please complete the NSW Skills List Survey by Tuesday 13 May 2017.
Skills IQ will be reviewing the feedback received from all stakeholders and submit a consolidated response to the NSW Department of Industry.
