Victoria Hansen is a pillar of the National Retail Association having spent 7 years in the organisation supporting Australian retailers. Now appointed as a QLD Industry Workforce Advisor, Victoria has a wealth of experience in the issues retailers face having previously worked both as a core part of the membership engagement team and in previous years as a Lawyer and Senior Workplace Relations Advisor in our NRA Legal team.

Victoria has been a qualified lawyer for over 10 years, having first practised law in the United Kingdom. In 2010, Victoria moved to Australia and began working as an industrial relations and employment law advisor within the construction industry. During that time, Victoria studied to requalify as a lawyer in Australia and was admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in 2013.

Victoria went on to work as an Associate to Commissioner Black in the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission, before moving briefly into private practice as an Employment lawyer at a mid-tier firm in the CBD of Brisbane.

Victoria joined the NRA team as a Senior Workplace Relations Advisor and Lawyer in February 2016 and has been giving practical employment advice considerate of the commercial realities and pain points in the retail and fast-food industries. Victoria has a wealth of experience, having worked in other key roles delivering excellent customer service in the membership team as Member Engagement Manager from May 2019 to 2023.

Victoria is continuing to follow her passion here in the NRA as the Industry Workforce Advisor, providing tailored assistance to small and medium employers to enable them to address workforce challenges and connect them with existing available support from Queensland Government programs, grants, and initiatives. Working with Victoria will be the toolkit to assist employers to plan their workforce, finding solutions to employment challenges, and connecting with programs, incentives, and funding opportunities.
