Over 3000 executive retail delegates and 120 exhibitors are expected to descend upon the revamped International Convention Centre in Sydney in March for an all-encompassing retail event.
To be held over three days in the new convention centre at Sydney’s Darling Harbour, Inside Retail Live will be a celebration of Asia-Pacific retail and a partnership of suppliers to showcase the most exciting new developments in the retail landscape.
The main stage – the lifeblood of the festival – will host content that provides new insights into all aspects of retail; backed by handpicked international and local speakers from diverse professional backgrounds who will challenge and inspire delegates.
“This isn’t just another exhibition or conference,” said Oliver Ranck, CEO of Octomedia, publisher of Inside Retail and the company organising the festival. “The festival is designed to give return on time invested, in our busy work lives time is a more important commodity than just the ticket price.”
The centre floor will showcase the latest in virtual reality, technology, visual merchandising and shop experiences. Each day will provide opportunity to visit, touch, demo and try the latest in next generation retail.
A large expo space is being built at the new convention centre to house exhibitors covering visual merchandising, shopfitters and designers, technology, leasing, security, HR and recruitment and international pavilions.
Retailers from all walks of life have been invited to the event including owners, management, marketing, customer service, managers, sales, e-commerce, finance, IT, developers – and everyone in between.
Readers of Inside Retail products in Australia, Asia, New Zealand and beyond can expect actionable, varied and quality content at Inside Retail Live.
“The show, like a good retail store, is meant to engage all five senses – we have placed great emphasis on making the festival an experience all registrants won’t forget,” said Ranck.
Speakers confirmed for the festival include Jon Bird, MD of Labstore Global; Jim Fielding, global head of retail, DreamWorks; Chadatip Chutrakul CEO of Siam Piwat and Forbes Asia Power Businesswoman; Launa Inman, non-executive director of the Commonwealth Bank; and Peter Wilkinson, chairman of Forever New.
Day one of the event will be centred on ‘The Customer Journey’ and focus on key consumer demographics and trends.
Day two has retail leadership and management at its core, and will examine dynamic, agile businesses that are leading the new wave of disruption.
Day three will focus on future developments across the entire retail spectrum – online, multi-channel and storefront. Expect live presentations on the main stage, intimate roundtables, hands on experiences, VR and tech demos and much more.
The festival will also include the 2017 Retailer Awards, which recognise the best customer centric retailers across Australia and New Zealand. In its second year, the awards cover a host of categories including Customer Experience Initiative of the year and Omnichannel Initiative of the year. “The opportunity to be part of the Inside Retail Customer Excellence Awards allowed Retail Prodigy Group to document our progress and reflect on our journey to date in providing the ultimate customer experience,” said Trevor Stitt, national sales manager, Retail Prodigy Group – Nike’s Retail Franchise Partner ANZ.
Australia’s best in e-commerce will also come together for the launch of the Top 50 E-commerce retailers.
Retailers booking 3 or more tickets are able to receive a subsidised price to the three-day event. The first day of the event is free for retailers.
