This month’s edition of the NRA WH&S member update is all about tapping into the volume of resources available for businesses, keeping up-to-date with case law and most importantly taking preventative steps in managing your health and safety obligations in your workplace.
Friday 10 October 2014 marked World Mental Health Day. If you haven’t already, take the time to check in with your colleagues and ask if they are okay, feeling well and feel good about being at work. An issue shared is an issue halved and we encourage all workplaces to operate as cohesive, support environments, where health, safety and wellbeing is on the top of everyone’s priority list.
The NRA would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of those people that expressed their interest in being part of the NRA WH&S Committee. The Committee is the first step in establishing the needs of the retail sector and working towards a more harmonious jurisdiction. We are excited about just how much potential the Committee has and what we can achieve.
For those of you who may not want to join the Committee but have issues and ideas that you would like to see addressed, please let us know. Suggestions and ideas are always welcome and can be sent by email to us at any time.
