Work Start is an incentive program that rewards eligible private sector employers with a one-off $10,000 payment, after a qualifying period, if they employ a Queenslander in a traineeship or apprenticeship who has previously participated in a Community Work Skills, Work Skills Traineeships, Get Set for Work, Ready for Work or Youth Skills project.
The program is targeted at private sector employers not eligible for the Queensland Government’s Back to Work regional employer support payment, for instance if you are in the Brisbane Metropolitan or South East region. For more information on Work Start incentives download the Work Start Guidelines for funding 2016-17or the Work Start fact sheet.
The NRA is delivering training in Queensland through this program and we have a number of work ready, eligible participants throughout Queensland who are currently looking for work.
Contact our Work Placement Officer, Debbie Dillon if you are interested in meeting one of our participants.
